As per AICTE notification no. 37-03/legal/2007 dt. 09.04.2007 and U.P. Govt. order no. 545/ solah-1-2008-1 (1)/08 dt. 23.04.2008 Fee Waiver seats for Women, Economically weaker and Physically Handicapped meritorious candidates are also available in B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm/ B.HMCT courses in all state/ state funded institutions, and such affiliated private institutions who indicate their willingness to participate in the scheme to U.P.Technical University.

No tuition fee will be charged from the candidates admitted against such seats. The fee waiver seats will be limited to maximum of 10% of the approved intake in the course and will be over and above the sanctioned intake. Typically for every 60 sanctioned intake in a branch/ discipline of study, Tuition Fee waiver shall be given to TWO women candidates, THREE economically weaker candidates (Annual income of parents/ guardians less than Rs. 2.5 lac from all sources) and ONE physically handicapped student on MERIT at the time of counseling.

The economically weaker students must submit certificate no. 12 (income certificate) at the time of counseling. Physically handicapped students will have to submit the appropriate certificate in support of his/her claim at the time of counseling.
